How many calories do you need each day? Well, there isn’t some general answer for this question. There are lot of things which play important part when somebody wants to determine how much calories is needed for she/him. Sex, age, type of work, physical activity, all come into play.
For example, if you have a 2,000 calorie diet, you are starving yourself. How somebody who is very active could live with 2,000 calories per day? However, I’m not saying that 2,ooo calories are bad , but people wouldn’t die if they took 3,000 or more some day.
From my point of view, it is not so much important how many calories you take during the day. More important is what you are eating. I will always swap my 2,000 calories from candies or fast food for your 3,000 calories from healthy food , fruits or vegetables. You should be more concerned about where the calories are coming from. I think you see what I mean.
If you are eating 1,500 calories alone of fruits and vegetables, that is better than eating that in fat. Isn’t it all the same? It isn’t the same for the reason that the calories are coming from a healthy source. They are coming from things that are good for you. The fruits and vegetables will help you out in many ways. They will also help you fight off cancer and heart disease. This isn’t true if you are over eating on fats and sweets. So, if you are eating over 2,000 calories and you are eating things that are good for you, I wouldn’t be too concerned.
